Cherished Memories and New Beginnings!

By susangoulding | December 22, 2016

As 2016 comes to a close in just a few short days, we sit back, relax, and reflect with our loved ones on the wonderful, busy, and successful year we’ve had here at Mountain House. There were so many great moments when our community came together…we can’t pick a favorite! So here’s a few highlights from the past year:

Concerts in the Park was a huge hit this summer! We danced to great music, ate great food, and enjoyed the beautiful weather in Central Park.

What could be better than flying a kite on a gorgeous day while listening to an awesome rock band? The Kite Festival is an event we look forward to every year, and this year was even better than the last!

In October, the witches of Mountain House took flight on their bikes and got the community into the Halloween spirit!

AND, we can’t forget the Final Phase Groundbreaking of our beloved Mountain House High School. What a great day this was!

We say goodbye to 2016 with grateful and happy hearts, with another year of lifelong memories to save in the books. BUT, when a new chapter ends, another one begins! And we have some exciting new additions headed our way in 2017.

Peter Hansen Elementary, a brand-new school for ages K-8, is projected to start construction in the summer! PLUS a shiny new park is also scheduled to be built next year in Hansen Village. Want to know more about the future Hansen Elementary? Contact the school district for details and updates.

Another exciting addition will be Ashford, a new neighborhood built by Shea Homes. These homes will offer 3-5 bedrooms, 3.5-4.5 bathrooms, 3,101 to 3,494 square feet of living space, and two floor plans providing a multi-generational living suite for live-in or visiting relatives.

We’re already liking the look of 2017! From all of us at Mountain House, we wish you a Happy Holiday with your families and a joyous new year.

The Latest on our Town Center

By susangoulding | December 16, 2016

Progress continues to be made on the Mountain House Town Center!
Stay tuned for details about an upcoming community meeting taking place in 2017. In the meantime, we’d like to share these latest developments.
Mountain House Developers (MHD) and the County have agreed on the steps to allow processing of the necessary entitlements for the Town Center in 2017. Other work, including final maps and improvement plans for the first phase of development, will get underway in 2017 as well.
In addition, a grocery store chain has been identified to anchor the Town Center’s first phase of commercial development. Negotiations are underway with the grocery store and a gas station, which will likely lead to signed leases in 2017.
We look forward to sharing more information regarding the Town Center development at a future community meeting.
